I want you to become a millionaire

Hey friends, you're listening to Liberatory Business and I'm your host, Simone Seol. I want to tell you today about exactly what I'm building towards—because this includes you.

My goal, my assignment that my ancestors gave me, is to help create 1,000 millionaires of the Global Majority. One thousand millionaires who are Black, Brown, Indigenous, Arab, Asian, and Pasifika peoples.

Now, why 1,000?

Because a billion dollars is just a million dollars multiplied by a thousand. That means 1,000 millionaires hold the exact same amount of wealth as a single billionaire—except that wealth is now held across a thousand families, a thousand communities, a thousand lineages, a thousand different visions of what's possible.

And I'm not just talking about any millionaires. I'm talking about a thousand millionaires who are people of color who understand that wealth is relational, not individual. People who know that their prosperity is inseparable from their community's prosperity. People who are building businesses that generate abundance and circulate it out to the community from day one—not one day "when I make it."

A thousand millionaires who become the backbone—the economic and cultural backbone—of a world that we actually want to live in. A world that makes billionaires obsolete.

And I want one of those millionaires to be you.

I built a seven-figure business. And let me tell you a little bit about what my own business has made possible so far.

I've sent a critical mass of medical aid, food, water, and supplies to war zones. I've created very well-paying jobs. I've contracted with Black and queer-owned businesses and paid them extremely well. I've paid off several friends' medical debt. I funded a community member's artist residency. I cap my own salary so I can redistribute surplus earnings.

And guess what? I am just getting started.

This is what wealth can look like when it flows in the right direction, in the hands of the people of the Global Majority.

Imagine a world where a thousand of us have the financial capacity to fund land trusts, to build community centers, to create healing clinics, to create regenerative farms and urban gardens, to support artists, elders, and organizers so they can purchase land and return it. Build endowments. Seed cooperative businesses. Create cultural and spiritual institutions. Offer protection, opportunities, and stability for communities without waiting for grants or philanthropy.

A thousand millionaires of the Global Majority means a thousand safety nets. It means a thousand visions, a thousand futures.

And that's the world I'm building towards, and I want you to be a part of it.
